Cost Accountant job in Cardiff.
Your new company
My client is a FMCG manufacturing business based in North Cardiff. Established for over sixty years they employ over eight hundred staff. The business has a turnover of £80m and produce over 50m products per year for a range of well know retailers. Due to a restructure within the organisation's finance team they are currently recruiting for a cost accountant for a period of six months.
Your new role
Reporting into the organisation's Financial Controller you will work as part of a small team of finance professionals. You will be responsible for producing detailed end to end costing analysis of production lines and will work closely with the product development team and operational staff. You will analyse products and capex projects to ensure efficiencies has been achieved and you will have the opportunity to manage an Assistant Cost Accountant as part of your role. This post is full-time, thirty seven and a half hours per week, Monday to Friday.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIPFA or CIMA) or be qualified by experience. You will have previous experience working as a Cost Accountant in a manufacturing environment. You will possess a strong financial acumen, excellent communication and IT skills.
