Finance Manager

We are seeking an exceptional, dynamic, ambitious  Finance Manager for our award winning London based Design Agency client 

As Finance Manager you will have the responsibility of managing the day to day financial responsibilities. The main focus of the role will be to improve the commercial awareness of the consultancy, to improve the operating costs, to ensure all invoicing is issued on time and all management accounts are produced.

We are looking for a versatile individual who is has experience of managing finance within a design/ agency/consultancy environment.

Key Responsibilities as Finance Manager will include:

• Responsible for maintaining all company bank accounts
• All aspects of credit control
• Overseeing the international office accounting system to ensure it reconciles with the Paprika records
• Responsible for ensuring that the appropriate tax regulations are being complied with in the territories in which the Agency works.
• Working with the assistant to ensure all petty cash balances and petty cash transactions are reconciled and recorded accurately.
• Responsible for preparing the monthly management accounts pack and weekly income and billing.
• Completing the nominal ledger journals and balance sheet analysis including accrued and deferred income.
• Preparing monthly payroll and pension payments.
• Preparing the quarterly Vat returns.
• Managing the day to day relationship with the external accountant.
• Regularly reviewing company overheads and identifying ways to make the company more efficient.
• Ensuring that there are appropriate controls in place to ensure spending is regulated.
• Raising invoices on time and accurately.
• Ensure all purchase invoices are paid on time and posted appropriately to the books.

      Finance Manager Key Attributes required: 

• Qualified or part qualified accountant.
• Experience of having worked in a Marketing Communications Agency or Consultancy.
• Knowledge of Paprika essential.
• Experience of working with overseas offices is highly desirable.
• Previous experience of working in a sole role
• Available within one month
