SME Financial Controller role on the outskirts of Edinburgh offering between £50,000 - £60,000 per annum

Your new company: Our client is a leading research and development business based in the South of Edinburgh. Our client is recruiting a Financial Controller on a permanent basis offering £50,000 - £60,000 per annum. The Financial Controller is a key member of the Senior Management Team, responsible for the day to day accounting and financial management of the business and its subsidiaries. The role holder is also responsible for budgeting and expenditure monitoring, reporting in the financial performance to management and the Board.

Your new role
You will be directly responsible to the Board of Directors supporting a multi-million pound turnover business. This Financial Controller will manage a small finance team and liaising with other departments to drive improved performance. You will prepare a range of Financial Reports which will include Monthly Management Statements, Quarterly Financial Accounts, Cash Flow Statements, Budgets and other reports as directed by the Board. The Financial Controller will have a wide variety of stakeholders to liaise with in the UK and across Europe including and assisting with the Auditors and Bankers. You will also prepare and implement budgets and present at board meetings. In addition this role will oversee payroll and the smooth running of transactional activities across a team of 3.

What you'll need to succeed:
You will be a fully qualified accountant with experience in an SME function. You will have extensive experience in highlighting financial performance to the board and will have experience in managing a small to medium finance team. As part of the senior management team, you will have built up credibility across a varied audience with the ability to articulate to financial and non-financial stakeholders.

What you'll get in return
You will be rewarded with a competitive salary between £50,000 - £60,000 per annum+benefits including pension, holiday entitlement and car parking on site.
