My client, an established and successful SME within the construction sector, is currently seeking to appoint an ambitious candidate to the position of Financial Controller. With an established customer base, consistently strong financial performance and the backing of a sizeable parent company, my client is offering the opportunity for a proven Financial Controller to join their team in Cheshire.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, your responsibilities will extend to full responsibility for production of the monthly management information pack; including timely reporting to the business management team and Group FD. You will gain an informed overview of the company's finances ensuring accuracy, completeness and compliance with relevant statutory and legal accounting requirements; and ensure that the operations teams are provided with accurate information for making commercial decisions. You will supervise an Assistant Accountant and act as a business partner to the Board. Therefore, first class communication skills are key. Your duties will further extend to cashflow forecasting, budgeting and overseeing the transactional functions. You will also have specific reporting for the parent company.
The successful candidate will have a strong accounting background from within the construction, capital sales or import/export sector.
