Finance Business Partner

Macildowie Finance are partnering with a public sector business based between Nottingham and Derby in the search for a part-qualified Accountant who can intelligently analyse data and communicate with budget holders to maximise business performance and improve service offered.

£28-30k plus great package and a friendly, sociable working environment. The business will support your progression through gradual increased responsibility, study support and peer coaching from qualified accountants and wider senior team.

Responsibilities will include:
- Budget setting
- Partnering with budget holders to highlight current financial position
- Analyse variances and layout steps to combat negative variances
- Update forecast model for wider establishment
- Support with year-end accounts
- Preparation of Month end
- Journal preparation and posting
- Ad-Hoc project work as required

Working hours are 8-4 Monday to Thursday with an early finish on a Friday.

You will be a communicative individual with excellent attention to detail. You will be happy communicating financial information to non-financial stakeholders. You will be able to use Excel to an intermediate level.
