Axon Moore are recruiting for a Financial Controller with a hospitality background to take on a fantastic role running the finances of a beautiful country hall hotel based in the Northumberland countryside.
The hotel is based within an hour's commute of both Newcastle and Sunderland and boasts 141 bedrooms and over 1000 acres of grounds. Facilities include 2 golf courses, top level conference facilities, restaurants, spa and a staff village, making it a truly high end, luxury getaway.
This role will sit within the senior management team, providing support across forecasting, budgeting, payroll control, cost control and covering all areas of the financial setup of the hotel. The role will also be the focal point for the financial management and strategy for the hotel.
The business are looking for a professional with significant financial experience within the hospitality sector; this is an essential for the role. Whilst any financial qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) would be recognised as a plus, it is not an absolute must for this post, with the priority to find the right practical experience. A good knowledge across Microsoft Office will be beneficial.
