Accountant

We have a new opportunity in Bury St Edmunds for a part-qualified / qualified Accountant in a key role to support the UK FC.

Key responsibilities will include:
• Bank reconciliations
• Variable cost analysis / monitoring
• Production and Management Cost monitoring
• Assistance to monthly management accounts preparation Fixed Asset ledger maintenance and capex / depreciation reconciliations
• Capex analysis
• Balance sheet account reconciliations / stock reconciliations
• Analysis work for taxation computations
• VAT returns preparation
• Cash forecast preparation
• Assist with annual budget preparation / forecasts
• Assist to prepare and analyse the monthly KPI reports (scorecards, sales/production/stock analysis, financial result)
• Participation in field audit

Is this role of interest? You will be a qualified / part-qualified accountant with proven experience in accounting and treasury management ideally gained within a manufacturing environment. You will demonstrate the ability to work and communicate across all functions and at all levels and to work on your own initiative with good problem solving skills and a flexible approach. You will also possess demonstrable experience of managing period end close together with information provision to strict deadlines and a working knowledge of an ERP system and UK GAAP.
