A Financial Analyst is required by a large, high volume, complex B2B business to support it's ongoing commercial success. As a newly created role, the financial analyst has been identified as an integral part of the future success of the business providing detailed and insightful information for key decision makers. You will support the wider finance team in driving consistent reporting processes, the creation of and implementation of KPI's and performance management reporting and be the driving force in the creation and delivery of commercial information.
The role will engage with and business partner multiple stakeholders across the whole business and is seen as a fast track position for a future leadership role. You will be a highly effective communicator with high level commercial skills and have the ability to deliver meaningful and targeted commercial information in a clear and concise manner.
Headlines of the role will include:
• Develop, maintain and improve the suite of reporting around the key areas of operational performance, so that it is easy for non-financial teams to understand.
• Perform weekly, monthly and ad-hoc analytical reviews to operational performance identifying areas of concern and risk.
• Recommend new procedures and policies that will improve efficiency and identify non-value added activities and find cost effective ways of reducing them to a minimum.
• Develop and maintain a daily / weekly cash forecasting model and report variances to plan to Senior Management.
• Be a business partner, providing our non-finance teams at all levels with the reliable analysis and recommendations they need to make informed decisions to mitigate risk and exploit opportunities.
• Assist with the budgeting and forecasting processes using knowledge gained through operational performance reviews to improve the accuracy of reporting.
• Ad hoc projects and analysis as required by the wider Finance team and senior management
