This is an exciting time to join a Global Distribution business who have recently excited a Plc to become a standalone Group of companies backed by Private Equity investment.
The CFO will join the leadership team and play an active role helping to shape and deliver the strategy and operating plan of the business. Through strong financial management and ensuring first class reporting, the finance function will support in all key decision making.
We are looking for an experienced Group Finance Director / CFO who has previous experience of change management within a high volume and low margin business.
Key objectives will include
• Leadership of the finance function to deliver first class reporting
• Transition the business from a subsidiary to standalone business
• With the above in mind, introduce strong cash management and forecasting principles
• Re-structure and simplify the organisation where / if needed
• Focus on efficiencies to mitigate cost challenges and support ongoing business growth /profitability
• Ensure robust challenge of all significant revenue generation and capital expenditure
• Constantly evolve KPIs ensuring profitability is maximised
• Introduce strong P2P processes to improve margins and supplier relationships
• Development of integrated systems and best in class processes
Key skills attributes of the successful candidate
• Previous experience operating within a high volume and low margin business essential
• Manufacturing or distribution experience will be essential
• Must have a proven track record of change management and business simplification
• Experience operating within a Private Equity environment will be essential
• Be nimble with decision making and be a proven leader, gaining respect through your actions
• Must be competent in managing working capital and profit expectations
