Group Accountant

Due to continual growth this £280 million turnover organisation based in Manchester is seeking an experienced Group Accountant to join their large finance function.

You will be reporting directly into the Financial Controller and assist with the consolidation of the monthly management accounts across the Group of companies that operate internationally.

The key duties of the Group Accountant will be;
* Production of full monthly consolidated management accounts comprising of 4 operating businesses.
* Verification of accuracy of postings utilising the full accounts team
* Ensure the numerous inter-company accounts reconcile monthly
* Ensuring a full balance sheet reconciliation (500+ balance sheet accounts)
* Working Capital and Cashflow management
Stakeholder management with key budget holders across the group of companies.
* Working closely with external auditors and involvement in preparation of statutory accounts
* Taking the lead resolving queries as and when they arise.

This is a number 2 role to the Financial Controller and you will have a great deal of autonomy to put your own stamp on the role and add real value to the business. They are a well established organisation however there is real scope to improve processes and procedures across the accounting function. The FC is looking for someone to come in with fresh ideas and help drive improvement.

The successful applicant will be a Qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) with experience of consolidated accounts. You will have previous exposure to Stock and Foreign Currency exposure is also essential. You will be a strong communicator and be able to demonstrate previous experience liaising at all levels.
