Senior Internal Auditor

Your new company
An International FTSE business in the leisure industry based in Southampton. This role required 20% travel away from home (including occasional trips of 10 days)

Your new role Senior Internal Auditor role for a qualified ACCA/ACA or CIA qualified -ideally trained in Big 4 or a large commercial international business.

Managing independent reviews and evaluations of any and all operations and activities to assess:
The reliability and integrity of internal controls over financial reporting, including authorisation of transactions and safeguarding of assets; Compliance with policies, laws, and regulations which could have significant impact on operations and processes; The effectiveness and efficiency of operations.

Reporting on the scope/objectives and status of the assigned audits, the adequacy of processes and internal controls and their related impact on the organisation on a project by project basis and the action taken by Management to mitigate control deficiencies or enhance the effectiveness or efficiencies of operations.
The implementation status of management action plans.

Assist with the annual review of the design of the Sarbanes-Oxley 404 compliance program including the performance of independent testing over the effectiveness of internal controls used in financial reporting.
Assist with the Data Driven Analytics program including performance and follow up of periodic analysis, and report to management on anomalies and remediation plans.

Develop an effective working relationship with senior management

What you'll need to succeed
Ideally you should have a degree in a financial or business related subject.
You should hold professional qualification, such as ACCA, ACA or CIA is required.
You should have 3-5 years' audit experience in a Big Four and/or large, complex company's internal audit risk management/consulting department.
You should have a high level of professionalism/independence/confidentiality along with excellent people skills and organisational skills
