Finance Controls Director

Finance Control Director important leadership position in Milton Keynes Big 4 Accountancy Firm.


We are looking for a Finance Control Director to take up an important leadership position in the Finance function of this Big 4 Accountancy Firm. You will have oversight of key areas of Financial Control, managing the Financial Controller group with responsibility for monthly accounting, accountability across accounting policy compliance, ensuring financial controls exist and are adequate for their diverse business. You will also work to streamline and standardise processes and will have accountability of year end statutory accounts. This role is based in Milton Keynes. Travel to London is likely to be required as part of the role. This is a full time, permanent role. However, they are open to discussing agile and flexible working arrangements in line with business need. You will be managing the Financial Controller teams, with responsibility for all areas of accounting. Owning the accounting policy manual and ensuring it is kept up to date in accordance with latest accounting standards. Streamlining and standardising processes and working practices within the Finance Controls team. Improving alignment between Statutory and Management Accounts throughout the financial year. You must be a Qualified Accountant with significant post qualification accounting experience. A detailed and up to date knowledge of accounting standards and experience of managing year end accounts preparation and audit is required. You must be able to demonstrate working in a complex accounting environment and possess excellent communication skills.
