Howarth Morris are excited to be recruiting for an experienced Assistant Accountant to join one of the UK's most recognised and awarded businesses on a temporary basis.
Based in Liverpool, the successful candidate will report in to an experienced Financial Controller and join a friendly and supportive team, covering a period of maternity leave.
The Assistant Accountant's responsibilities will include:
• Assisting in the production of month end accounts
• Weekly and monthly reconciliation's including bank and balance sheet
• Producing various management reports in line with company standards
• Credit control procedures, liaising with non-finance managers to ensure correct amounts are accounted for & billed correctly
• Processing purchase invoices and ensuring any discrepancies are identified and rectified within tight deadlines
• Ensuring monthly processing deadlines are met as required by the company
• Ad-hoc duties as required by the FC and the department
Applicants will ideally have previous experience of working within the Automotive industry and have worked in a similar and varied transactional accounts role. Experience of using Kerridge software is desirable and the successful candidate will be comfortable using MS Excel (e.g. pivot tables and LOOKUPS). You will be able to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team and will have excellent written and verbal skills. This opportunity offers a competitive salary complimented with benefits including some flexibility to working hours.
Please note that this role is a Temporary opportunity and so ideally candidates will be immediately available or able to start at short notice. Also, there is a possibility that the role can be extended beyond the initial temporary period or even made permanent should the selected candidate prove successful.
