Assistant Financial Accountant

Leading Finance company based in Redhill, Surrey is looking to recruit a part qualified or qualified by experience (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) Assistant Financial Accountant to join their growing team. A varied and progressive role responsible for monthly and quarterly accounts production as well as tax calculations, maintenance and reviews and various adhoc duties involved within the operational accounting side of the business. Candidates will ideally be part qualified or qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CTA, have advanced Excel skills and recent knowledge of IFRS reporting standards. Duties will include:

• Financial accounts production
• Completing VAT returns, employee tax calculations
• Mointoring tax compliance, procedures and developments
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Maintaining the accuracy of financial information
• Delivering key financial insight and business improvement advice

We are looking for:

• Part Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CTA or Equivalent)
• Experience of Financial/Operational Accounts within a financial services environment
• Previous UK GAAP and IRFS experience
• Knowledge of UK Tax Law and compliance
• Strong IT skills are required including the use of Excel
• Organised and efficient, able to cope with a heavy workload
