An SME based in Solihull are looking to appoint a Head of Finance on a permanent basis.
Your new position will be reporting directly to the MD who is looking for a hands on Financial Controller who is seeking to be a Finance Director within 12 to 18 months.
This position requires a qualified accountant who is keen to help drive a business forward.
• Preparation of monthly management accounts for the group of companies;
• Financial reporting is accurately done & in a timely manner;
• Planning of Budgeting and cash forecasting;
• Routine processes such as Quarterly VAT returns and Rebates;
• Preparation of the statutory accountants in accordance with UK standards;
• Supporting the procurement and receipting processes by detailed analyses of the actual
• Monitoring progress on outstanding issues and actions in respect of agreed improvements;
• Interacting with the operational administration and financial administration and bridging the two;
• Monthly staff payroll and expenses;
• Ensuring the transactional accounting is performed accurately and completely from an accounting point of view;
• Working closely with the sales team to engage with them to ensure that revenue are projected properly;
• Reviewing balance sheet variances/preparation of account reconciliations;
• Manage the relationship with both internal and external auditors and ensure that standards are met;
• Support Finance system changes to process and procedures to increase efficiency;
• Support the business in resolving issues surrounding invoicing/AP/AR and any additional process improvement.
