Based in Londons west end for my client a hedge fund with an AUM of £2bn
Short Description
The Financial Controller will report directly to the CFO and be responsible for the Financial aspects of the business at both the Management Company and Fund level.
Detailed Description
The Financial Controller will be responsible for the Financial aspects of the business & Funds including, but not limited to:
- Daily accounting functions and Sun Accounting entries
- Preparation Financial Statements and monthly Management Accounts
- Assist with review and preparation of tax computations
- Liaise with external professional advisers
- Filing of returns with HMRC and Companies House
- Fund Accounting functions including margins, audits, NAV’s (NB we have a FT fund accountant but some technical accounting support is occasionally required)
- Payroll and related calculations
- Deputise for CFO
Requirements
- Professional Accounting Qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA
- At least 2 years prior experience at a Hedge Fund/financial services co, with some exposure to Fund Accounting
- Or have worked for a fund administrator
- Knowledge of Fund structures and UCITS regulations
* Sun Systems knowledge an advantage but not essential
