Investment Appraisal Finance Analyst

Marks Sattin has an exceptional assignment where my client is looking for a Commercial Finance Analyst to work in an exciting R&D sub division. Working closely with a high profile divisional innovation team that is receiving major investment, you will be forming part of an exciting and newly developed team investigating new technologies and ways that could revolutionise the way this sub function works to maximise efficiencies and become best in class within their sector.

In this team, you will be at the forefront of technological advancement and you will be providing information which will ultimately be relayed on to the SMT and to board level.

In the role you will:-

• Undertake management of multiple investment cases across a range of technologies/platforms.
• Develop financial models, supporting assumptions and analytical outputs to support recommendations.
• Not just be using traditional investment appraisal methods but also have the ability to support the team with "sparring" around high level financial feasibility assessments, alternative valuation approaches etc

You will ideally be:-

• Fully qualified accountant (CIMA/ACA/ACCA) with an ambitious/career driven mind-set or work in practice seeking what is a very unique role

Excellent commercial awareness (with specific experience in investment appraisal) is not essential, it is as much of an insight into the type of role, any experience in this however would be highly beneficial.
