Financial Controller

Pure have been retained exclusively to recruit the position of Financial Controller for a profitable and growing SME in Essex where you will play you part in the Senior Leadership Team, providing financial and commercial support in line with the company's growth strategy.

For the successful candidate this role will provide a direct route to progress to a Finance Director.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide strategic advice and reporting on all aspects of financial management of the Group
• Provide leadership to the finance and administration teams
• Review, design and implement a range of departmental KPI reporting
• Support the sales teams by reviewing pipeline of new business and monitoring ongoing business performance
• Production of management and statutory accounts, consolidation to Group level and in line with the relevant reporting standards
• Liaise and manage relationships with the bank, auditors, insurance providers, etc
• Provide the appropriate coaching and training to the finance and administration teams to deliver payroll, expenses, PAYE, VAT, month end accounts, etc
• Succession planning to ensure the appropriate progression

Skills and Background Required
• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
• Educated to degree level is desirable
• Proven track record of managing a finance function with the relevant team management
• Experience of working within an SME environment
• Management and financial reporting experience
• Self motivated, ambitious, commercially aware and a high attention to detail
• Confident communicator at all levels
