Tax Manager

We are currently working with a mid-sized Manufacturing sector firm based in Wolverhampton, on an Exclusive basis, to help them find a qualified Tax Manager, for a newly created position. The Tax Manager will report in to the CFO, and will be paid a salary in the region of £60,000 to £70,000 + benefits and bonus.

This is a fantastic opportunity to bring the company tax affairs 'in-house' for the first time, taking up a newly created Tax Manager position, and building out a small team around you. The position will involve managing direct and indirect tax compliance in Europe through the development and co-ordination of tax compliance processes, across business functions and with external tax advisers.

A full job description will be provided on request, but the main focus of the role will involve building a tax compliance framework, development of tax policies and procedures, alignment of financial accounts to tax positions, and management of the tax budget. This is a position not without its challenges, as it is a complex Business structure with multiple sites across Europe, and around the world.

Required skills & experience:

• Qualified CTA with 3-5 year's experience in working with direct and indirect taxation
• Experience in preparation of UK direct and indirect tax declarations
• Proven experience in identifying process efficiency and driving implementation effectively
• Team builder and developer
• Preferably worked in a pan-European tax environment
• Strong excel and systems skills
