A market leading utilities company based in the West Midlands is looking to appoint an Interim VAT Manager to project lead the design and implementation of a standardised European VAT process in the Finance Shared Service Centre.
Reporting to the Group Finance Director and working alongside the senior management team, the role has sole responsibility for ensuring the project is delivered on time and within budget which include key tasks such as developing a new VAT framework for the group (compliance and controls), create new accounting procedures to enhance audit trail of VAT declarations, reconcile balance sheet positions and track VAT cashflows with the end result of ensuring the new processes at each milestone are fit for purpose.
Candidates will be VAT professionals from either an accounting practice or industry and must have proven experience in rolling out VAT projects, in depth European VAT knowledge, strong ERP systems skills, excellent interpersonal and project management skills.
