Assistant Financial Accountant

London 

 

Trace are currently recruiting for an assistant financial accountant to join a marketing agency based in central London. Reporting in to and supporting a senior management accountant you will be responsible for all aspects of the accounting and finance function. The successful candidate will be a self starter, who is consistently proactive and time efficient with the ability to work to tight deadlines.

Your duties will include:

  • Assist in the month end management accounts and journals; prepayments, accruals, fixed assets
  • Summarize payments made through the company credit card accounts and prepare the input paperwork for processing into the accounting records. Strong levels of control on expenses and receipts provided with push back to individuals where necessary.
  • Summarize payments made through petty cash & prepare the input paperwork for reflection in the accounting records.
  • Inputting Journals where required
  • Year End nominal reconciliations and analysis
  • Petty Cash dealings and reconciliations
  • Expenses analysis and entry and reconciliations
  • Day to day running of Accounts Payables and Receivables
  • Preparing / checking / raising sales invoices on Paprika system
  • Inputting / reconciling payments.

Key skills / Qualifications:

  • Part qualified accountant ( ACCA/CIMA/ACA)
  • 1-2 years experience in a finance function
  • 2:1 or above degree from a respected University
  • Good communication skills
  • Confident & team player
