A well respected and renowned further education facility has a brilliant opportunity to join for a 12 month maternity contract in a varied and senior role. The Senior MA role will work closely with the FC and Head of Finance to ensure that outstanding financial performance is achieved.
They are looking for a motivated and pro-active individual to be part of a team of staff assisting in the delivery of a full range of finance department activities. You should be fully CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified and high level financial planning/budgeting skills will be required. You will be responsible for managing the Deputy and Assistant Management Accountants and you will also work closely with other Heads of Departments to assist with the production of the annual budget and monthly forecasts.
Objectives and duties include;
*To maintain budgeting documentation and review and monitor budgeting processes and advise on appropriate action;
*To carry out specific investigations into areas of College finances as requested by Senior Managers;
*To discuss monthly budget statements with Budget Holders and assist them to resolve queries or operational difficulties;
*To prepare the financial forecasts in conjunction with Budget Holders and the Finance Team;
*To prepare, in conjunction with the Financial Controller and Finance Director, the Group Statutory Accounts including working papers and supporting documentation;
*To manage and guide the deputy and assistant management accountants on their day-to-day workload;
*To manage the production of the consolidated monthly management accounts, forecasts and departmental contribution statements in accordance with Group timetables;
*To prepare the Group's annual budget and three year plan including liaising with budget holders;
*To produce the annual payroll budget, re-forecast this periodically and respond to staffing requests;
