FTC for qualified financial accountant: Peterborough base: Interesting project in the mid of big changes.

Your new company
Our client has gone through massive changes in the last 18 months so even though you probably think you know them, there's lots more to their story than you may realise. As a result of the next phase of their transformation, Hays has been engaged to find an interim qualified accountant to join their team to assist in some investigations and some "tidying-up".

Your new role
Your role will be to undertake some deep investigation and reconciliation of balance sheet items, particularly VAT. Our client uses Sage so familiarity with that will be a distinct advantage. Your expertise and background in statutory accounting will be put to good effect and previous experience of project accounting (project management, progress tracking and working with colleagues that who are not under your direct control) will also be useful.

What you'll need to succeed
You must be a qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA or ACA) with a few years post qualification experience under your belt. Having an investigative mindset is absolutely crucial to the success of your part of the project.
My client is looking for an immediate start so please take this into consideration if you have any holidays booked or notice to give in your current role.
