Group Financial Planning and Analysis Manager

Central London

Salary: Circa £100,000

The Role

Sturrock and Robson is a fourth generation family business that owns and operates a portfolio of companies within the industrial sector. The early businesses thrived during the South African mining boom of the 1920’s and under four generations of Robson custodians have grown into a diversified, international group of industrial companies.

The group’s strong ethical views and professionalism are evident in the way they do business. With established working relationships spanning over 100 years, their partners trust them to provide the highest quality products and service at the forefront of their industries as well as a fair approach to business. The business operates in a transparent and collegiate manner without the corporate politics which can often exist in organisations.

Following the recent appointment of the CFO a role is being created in finance. A Group Financial and Planning and Analysis Manager is being recruited to join the Group Finance function.

This is an excellent opportunity for a high calibre, commercially aware business planning analyst to join the group as it moves into the next phase of its development.

The Group Financial Planning & Analysis Manager will be responsible for effective financial planning including strategic plans, annual budgets, quarterly reforecasts, working capital management plans as well as operational analysis to support senior management reviews and decisions.

The appointed individual must have demonstrable experience of leading a planning cycle and the personality to thrive in a fast-moving progressive environment. A key requirement of this role is the ability to improve current processes, enhance decision support and provide powerful insight into operational performance.

The new Group Financial Planning & Analysis Manager will be a detailed, self-starter, excited by the prospect of creating a new department. They will have gravitas, with the ability to persuade and influence Regional Finance Directors to adopt new processes and procedures. They will be culturally aware and appreciate sensitivities which may exist in different jurisdictions and will have strong communication skills.
