Senior Accountant

My client who is a large and growing independent provider of financial, management and corporate services are looking to recruit a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA CIMA or equivalent). The role will initially be for a 6 month contract with the possibility of going permanent at the end.

Role

Reporting directly into senior manager and working with wider team in performing accounting and administrative tasks associated with a book of corporate and institutional clients.

Specific tasks will include

Reviewing bookkeeping and month end reporting prepared by team

Preparation of financial statements for entities including companies and other SPVs across a variety of asset classes

Preparation of monthly and quarterly management accounts

Liaising with external auditors

Drafting VAT Returns with supporting documentation ready for client review

Basic corporate tax returns.

Proactively liaising with wider team in other jurisdictions where clients are cross jurisdictional in nature

Support senior manager with management of internal KPIs including billing and compliance matters

Drafting of fee proposals to clients

Management and development of junior team

Skill set required:

Fully conversant with UK GAAP and in particular FRS102

Knowledge of IFRS

Excellent Excel knowledge

Strong communicator both internally with team and externally with clients / intermediaries

Rate £250 - £300 per day depending on experience
