Our client, a mid-tier professional services firm, are looking for an accounting and audit senior, reporting to audit managers and supervising more junior members of the audit team.
Duties Include:
- Planning and carrying out audits with turnover up to £40M, including specialist audits (FSA, pensions, solicitors, charities and schools)
- Working closely with outsourcing teams to prepare year end accounts
- Supervision of junior staff
- Preparation of draft business tax computations
- Preparation of draft statutory accounts under FRS102 and old UK GAAP from client's numbers pre audit
- Larger accounts preparation jobs for audit exempt limited companies, partnerships, LLPs
- Where applicable drafting recommendations to management post audit
- Split role working 60% accounts and 40% audit
Experience Includes:
- ACA/ACCA Qualified with previous accounts and audit senior experience
- Experience working in a similar medium-sized or smaller practice desirable
- Ability to cope with pure audits and also audits where the records are not straight forward
- Ability to work within deadlines and budgets
- Ability to prepare completed audit files for a large variety of clients to a high standard
- Good communicator, able to work confidently and effectively with both client and staff
