Our client a growing SME with turnover approx £4m are looking to appoint a Finance Manager to their small friendly team.

Running the finance function of the company and supporting the Managing Director / other senior members of the team in ensuring all aspects of finance / accounting are operated as required as well proactively delivering financial reporting and forecasting for the business.

The role is based at our clients offices in a central Leicester location with on site parking provided.

Principal Job Duties:
·Preparing financial documents and managing the Sales Ledger and Purchase Ledger
·Working with the goods in team to monitor purchase orders and verify levels of commitments
·Managing payroll (no of employees less than 10)
·Completing monthly financial reports / management accounts on a monthly basis and providing information to the management team as well as appropriate external stakeholders
·Completing regular bank reconciliations and managing all aspects of cash management
·Entering financial information onto and managing all aspects of company accounting systems (currently work on Sage) including credit control
·Managing all aspects of company ledgers / day-to-day financial transactions of the business
·Processing and managing all business expenses
·Coordinating all aspects of statutory audits
·Recording office expenditures and ensuring these expenses are managed within the agreed budgets and forecasts
·Reporting on debtors and creditors and managing all aspects of correspondence as well as dealing with account queries
·Handling accruals and prepayments and adjusting for these in monthly and annual accounts
·Preparing annual budgets / forecasts in conjunction with senior management and holding responsibility for the preparation and management of forecasting models
·As part of regular reporting requirements track actual financial performance to budgets / forecast and report variations and work with management to drive financial performance and rectify any trading issues
·Managing monthly forecasting tasks including maintenance of agreed forecasts
·Completing the year-end analysis and preparing draft accounts for auditors to review and certify
·Ensuring compliance with all relevant accounting and financial standards
