My client is a world leader in the provision of business services and as a result of continual growth seeks to hire a Senior Financial Accountant. This role will support multiple entities across an international division and involves cross-functional liaison with various departments.

The Financial Accountant role is focused on providing support in several areas including statutory accounting across EMEA and APAC and tax and VAT compliance. Other duties include supporting the preparation of the management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations and analysis. You will also have responsibility for the preparation of the international VAT returns filings and providing with other tax requirements. There is also a large project element attached to the role with several exciting programs planned.

The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant, with US (and European) GAAP and IFRS reporting experience. You will also have experience of working in a SOX compliance environment and have European VAT experience and tax knowledge. Continuous improvement is an important quality for my client so we will be looking for candidates with a demonstrable track record in this area and the ability to be flexible and manage multiple tasks. We are also looking for someone who has a track record in hitting reporting deadlines, is able to research and investigate problems and provide solutions.
