Financial Accountant

A global, multi-billion dollar turnover business with a household name client base is recruiting a Financial Accountant to assist in the consolidation of group financial and management accounting information to ensure UK and regional accounting requirements are met by the provision of accurate, relevant and timely management information.

 Key responsibilities will include:

• Assisting in the consolidation of monthly financial and management accounting information of the different divisions in compliance with UK GAAP as well as US GAAP
• Assisting in the preparation of the Monthly Management information
• Consolidating, reconciling and analysing the quarterly supplementary information submissions and reporting these to required deadlines
• Continuously reviewing the accounting and administrative processes within the Finance function with a view to improving efficiencies
• Performing ad hoc financial and accounting analysis
• Assisting in the preparation of statutory accounts in UK GAAP & monitoring differences between US GAAP and local GAAP
• Ensuring Sarbanes Oxley compliance for all processes and tasks

The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACCA/ ACA/ CIMA equivalent). You will be IT literate with a good working knowledge of excel and a consolidation package as well as experience of accounts preparation or audit and consolidation processes. Experience of UK GAAP, US GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley is desirable. This role will suit an analytically-minded individual who works well in a team and is able to use their own initiative to work to the very best standards.
