Hays Accountancy and Finance are currently recruiting for hands-on and experienced Management Accountant to join a well-established and growing Manufacturing organisation based in Hereford, Herefordshire. A great opportunity reporting directly into the Senior Management Team and Directors overseeing and supporting a small accounting team. You will head up the finance department, whilst improving/streamlining processes as the business grows further.

Your new role

Your key duties will involve preparing and presenting management accounts to the Directors, VAT returns and payroll processing along with being hands-on with sales ledger/credit control, accounts payable duties, reconciling ledger balances and general bookkeeping duties for the business. You will support and oversee a small team of two finance employees, whilst preparing ad-hoc reports and financial projects for the organisation. This is a great opportunity to not only add value to a growing business, but really improve/streamline processes and make the position your own.

What you'll need to succeed

For this varied Management Accountant role you must have experience within a similar position with knowledge of payroll processes and an hands-on approach. Strong communication skills are key to build internal and external relationships along with being used to working towards time-constraint deadlines and managing work-loads. Ideally you will be AAT qualified or part-qualified CIMA/ACCA, candidates who are qualified by experience will be considered. It would be advantageous if you have Sage systems knowledge, with supervisory experience and have worked within the manufacturing sector previously.
