The role of the Financial Accountant will take responsibility for the day-to-day financial activity of Unlisted Investments (Perfect Fit, Events City, Trafford Golf Range and Airport) and associated activity.

About the role

The role of Financial Accountant will report into the Finance Manager and manage a team of three. You will be responsible for the preparation of monthly and quarterly management accounts, monthly finance board papers, cashflows, forecasts, VAT returns and Statutory accounts:

Management Accounts

  • Reviewing activity and ensuring correct income and expense classifications
  • Processing prepayments and accruals
  • Preparation of monthly board report with variance explanations;
  • Preparation of monthly management account file
  • Preparing balance sheet reconciliations

Cash Actuals

  • Analysis of cash books and updating of cash models
  • Liaise with purchase ledger to ensure creditor payments are processed in line with available funds

Forecasting

  • Update full 3 year cash forecast for new budget figures
  • Preparation of audit pack
  • Assist with audit work and queries from external auditors
  • Preparation of tax pack
  • Preparation of statutory accounts

Other

  • Assisting in the coding of purchase orders/invoices for purchase ledger
  • Maintaining fixed asset reports
  • Managing a team of 3

About the candidate

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified
