About the Accountant Role

Responsible for preparing financial statements and various tax returns that follow International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and current tax legislations. Act as the finance lead for the new hospitality venture and responsible for all the accounts and budget production process as well as the tax filing compliance. Ensuring accurate financial reporting and control.

Accountant Key Responsibilities

  • Manage in-house accounting function including production of monthly management accounts and annual financial statements across a range of portfolio companies
  • Consolidate the subsidiaries accounts and present the financial results in the Board meetings as required
  • Visit the new hospitality venture premise regularly to produce an accurate set of month-end accounts with comparisons to forecasts
  • Produce relevant reports to external accountants for VAT Returns and Corporation Tax
  • Prepare annual budgets to present to the board
  • Assist in year-end audit with provision of information for audit queries
  • Review and produce performance analysis

Candidate Requirements

  • Qualified Accountant essential
  • Minimum 1 year of post qualified working experience, familiar with IRFS
  • Preferable BSc/BA in accounting or finance
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel)
  • Good analytical and communication skills
  • Self-motivated with ability to manage, prioritise and deliver projects
