Production Accountant

A highly reputable and well known TV production company are looking for a production Accountant to be based in the production accounts team reporting straight to the Finance Manager. This is a busy finance department and have responsibility for the day to day production accounts for a range of TV shows.

You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to speak to non-finance members of staff at all levels.

Key responsibilities

• Training production managers and members of the production team on PMI
• Monitoring all spend on allocated productions, including petty cash spend, expense claims as well as internal recharge
• Preparing weekly cashflows for relevant productions; invoicing broadcasters and monitoring outstanding debt
• Assessing overall production profitability for forecasting & management account purposes.
• Be the initial point of contact for all financial matters for the allocated productions; liaising with both the purchase ledger department and management accountants.
• Ad hoc projects where necessary (e.g. production spend analysis)
• Taking responsibility for final reports and paperwork once the production is complete. Periodic closure of completed productions.

About you

• Production accounting experience with a good knowledge of accounting principles
• Experience of PMI or another similar integrated Production Management/Finance system would be beneficial
• Good Excel skills are essential
• Excellent communication skills
