Group Finance Director

We are delighted to be retained by a leading and innovative developer and operator of leisure and hospitality resorts. Privately owned and Private Equity backed, the company has recently launched its operations in the UK with an ambitious programme of acquisition and turnaround. 

Six sites have already been acquired with plans to expand rapidly over the next few years.   Acquisition targets are typically distressed and in need of significant investment yet offering clear potential for development into high end, profitable holiday resorts.  

A Senior Management team is forming.  The next critical appointment is Group Finance Director who will enjoy a broad range of challenging responsibilities including:

• Setting up and overseeing all financial and broader commercial systems and controls and ensuring these are sufficiently robust to support high levels of multi-site and multi-revenue stream growth;
• Playing a pivotal role in acquisitions and their integration; 
• Providing a professional and highly credible interface with the Private Equity investors and JV company partners;
• Championing a culture which encourages motivation, enthusiasm and high levels of customer service across all areas of the business;
• All aspects of finance, HR, IT and health and safety.

Candidates should be qualified accountants with strong leadership, implementation and commercial skills who have previously experienced the running of a group finance function, overseeing different companies and revenue streams where strong financial controls and cash management is essential to success. 

This experience is likely to have been gained within the hospitality sector and ideally involved the management of substantial growth and investor relationships.   Property or construction expertise, including land valuation, will be of particular interest.    

The role will be hands-on and very involved and provides a fantastic opportunity for a high calibre and commercially focused Group Finance Director to be involved with an exciting venture from a very early stage.
