- new External Reporting Accountant role in the group financial control based in the UK HQ
- exciting opportunity for a qualified accountant (ACA) who has good exposure to all aspects of the preparation of the quarterly, interim and full year financial statements
- liaison with the external auditors
External Reporting Accountant key duties and responsibilities include:
- Contributing to the preparation of quarterly, interim and annual reports, including the financial statements, notes, financial review and financial disclosures in the front section.
- Develop and draft new accounts disclosures as required considering changes in accounting standards and developments in the business.
- Maintain ongoing collaboration with various corporate, regional and market finance functions to ensure that transactions are identified and disclosed appropriately.
- Liaise with the external auditors to support a timely and efficient audit process, which includes maintaining and providing support related to the financial statements and disclosures.
- Support the preparation of audit committee papers for new and emerging accounting standards and the interim and full year financial statements
- Assist in ongoing monitoring and interpretation of new accounting guidance, including potential impact on ConvaTec, and provide guidance regarding implementation.
External Reporting Accountant role requirements:
To be successful in this position you will have:
- Newly/recently qualified Chartered accountant (ACA)
- Deep understanding of IFRS with ability to apply accounting for share based payments, financial instruments and acquisitions
- Understanding of reporting in a UK PLC environment
- Ability to communicate complex accounting issues simply - both orally and written
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and highly organized
- Ambitious with a desire to learn and progress
