Accounts Manager

Introduction / The Firm:

Independent Firm has enjoyed incremental, sustainable growth for the past 15 years, this growth has created a new opportunity; leading the day-to-day running of the accounts function.

The Role:

Reporting directly to the Partners.

Liaising with the firm's Tax Managers.

You'll manage a small team of experienced accountants, who produce year-end accounts & some management accounts for a variety of clients; the majority in the SME sector.

You will allocate work, review work & offer support & feedback to the accountants in the carrying out of their work. On occasions you may need to muck-in with hands-on client work; this is more likely to be on the advisory or management accounting side.

The Partners are extremely happy to offer the successful candidate plenty of autonomy in this role.

The Person:

As this is a new role created by growth there is some flexibility as to your current level of experience.

Candidates must be qualified: ACA, ACCA or ICAS.

The firm will consider strong Supervisors / Assistant Managers & will support their growth & development into this important role within the firm. At the other end of the scale experienced Managers or Senior Managers ready & capable of running the firm's accounts portfolio with little supervision from an early stage will receive a competitive package.
