Cost Accountant

Sharp Consultancy are recruiting for a well-known Manufacturer in Rotherham. The business have been operating for over 30 years and have a strong brand image. They are currently looking to hire a Cost Accountant to join their finance team. The role is ideally suited to a self-starting studier who is part-qualified ACCA/CIMA. The organisation have an annual turnover of £175 million and have a team of 12 at present.

You will report into the Senior Cost Accountant and gain lots of hands-on experience and support. You will need to be flexible and hard-working to become a success in a fast-paced business. The role will involve the following duties:

Reporting in to the Cost Controller, you will be responsible for providing support to both the operations and commercial teams. Key core duties to include:
To provide analysis of operational results
To lead product costing reviews and support pricing decisions with the sales team
To provide financial support and guidance to the operations and supply chain teams in value analysis/engineering reviews
To support working capital improvements and prepare capex investment appraisals

If you have any experience of working in a similar industry then please clearly detail this on your CV. Likewise, should you have had any exposure to Microsoft Excel (VBA, SQL, pivot tables/vlookups/macros) then please make sure this is highlighted.
