A temporary Group Financial Accountant is wanted for a 12 month role with a leading commercial FTSE-100 Plc (a global business who are an obvious leader in their field). They offer an excellent working environment and would provide a strong name to add to your CV in addition to some genuinely interesting work.
The temporary Group Financial Accountant will report to the Financial Reporting Manager and will enjoy a focus on improving their finance systems that ensure high quality data for reporting purposes. Specific duties will include:
· Support the planned rollout of improvements to their HFM consolidation system; own the timescale for change, ensure stakeholders are engaged, ensure changes are tested and that implementations are done to deadlines.
· Preparation of group financial data; own the Excel model which populates many key reporting templates from which the group accounts are produced.
· Assist in preparation / review of note disclosures for external reporting.
· A range of ad hoc projects, e.g. accounting for acquisitions / disposals.
The ideal temporary Group Financial Accountant will be a Chartered Accountant (CA / ACA significantly preferred) who trained with a Top 6 firm. Experience of preparing accounts for, or auditing, multi-currency group consolidations for large, listed multi-nationals is key and you may have gained this experience in practice or industry. All candidates will have sufficient maturity & gravitas to operate at all levels and will be comfortable working within a complex environment.
NOTE: Candidates who have a strong interest in systems (HFM / large scale ERP experience preferred) will thrive in this role as it offers a unique opportunity to take your accounting knowledge in use it in a different way.
Salary: £325 - £350 per day.
