Payroll Manager

Our client is a successful business with excellent links to the A1 and they are currently recruiting for someone to head up a small, but very busy payroll department.

Mentoring one member of staff this will be a hands on position, and ideally the role will work 32 hours per week.

Duties will include;

Processing payroll for 1500 staff across multiple sites
Reviewing monthly payroll changes
Calculating statutory deductions being reported by RTI and submitting to HMRC
Year end HMRC returns
Mentoring and overseeing one assistant
Producing reports for budget holders
Handling payroll enquiries
Providing pension information to pension provider, ensuring payments made within appropriate timeframes

The successful candidate will ideally hold a payroll qualification and will have a proven background within the field.

Experience of staff management would be an advantage but not essential as this could represent an opportunity for someone looking to grow their experience and develop in this arena.

Attention to detail is essential alongside strong communication skills and the ability to meet and work to challenging deadlines.
