Finance Manager - Consolidation needed for newly created joint venture in Surrey!

£60,000 - £65,000 + Car Allowance + Bonus + Benefits

An opportunity has become available for a Finance Manager - Consolidation to join an exciting new joint venture in Surrey!

The role will be responsible for preparing monthly consolidated financial statements, provide technical accounting guidance and deliver audited consolidated financial statements for the newly formed joint venture shareholders. This role is suitable to an Audit Manager looking to make their first move out of practice or someone who has gained post qualification experience in industry in a technical Finance position.

To successfully deliver in this high-profile position, you will need to have:

  • University degree.
  • ACA qualified (Top10 Accountancy practice).
  • Strong financial and technical accounting skills and knowledge.
  • Experience of a multi-currency Group based on IFRS.
  • Demonstrable record of improving systems and processes.
  • Experience of dealing with stakeholders through matrix working.
  • Significant exposure to complex groups of companies and preparing monthly consolidations and annual glossies.
  • Influencing skills and ability to challenge senior management.

A little more information about the role:

  • Lead and develop a Corporate Accountant, ensuring accounting for all corporate profit centres is sufficient and appropriate.
  • Manage monthly consolidations, including (but not limited to) performing elimination entries, preparation of consolidated financial statements, preparation of notes to the consolidated financial statements, reviewing reserves, IG matrices and funding entries.
  • Responsible for the monthly aggregation and consolidated balance sheet analytics.
  • Provide technical accounting guidance to the business including: organising training, ensuring accounting policies are up to date, providing support for restatement disclosure updates following accounting standard revisions and compliant with accounting standards.
  • Pro-actively and successfully managing relationships and outcomes with both Group Technical and external auditors.
  • Be responsible for statutory accounts for all legal entities within the Group.
  • Be responsible for technical reviews of complex statutory accounts within the business.
