Finance Director

Gleeson Recruitment Group is currently working in partnership with a leading dynamic and ambitious FMCG brand based in the Midlands to secure a new UK Finance Director. The business operates in a high growth sector and has doubled its turnover through organic and acquisitive means in the last 18 months.

With branded, own label, B2B business lines and a turnover currently sitting around the £200 million mark, our client is keen to hire an experienced Commercial Finance Director who is able to deliver growth strategies within a complex and fast paced environment. The role will involve constantly shifting priorities and targets and the incumbent will required to guide the business forward despite these challenges.

Our client is part of global group which is keen to continue to identify new business opportunities that compliment its current portfolio and as such is looking to hire a Finance Director capable of leading, delivering and identifying new acquisitions.

The Finance Director will report directly to the UK Managing Director and will be responsible for leading commercial financial activities which support the business' appetites for growth. The role takes full P&L ownership for the UK business, leading teams totalling around 30 people across commercial finance, financial control and transactional processing. Tax, treasury and system related projects also fall under the Finance Director's remit.

Full ownership over all external relationships including bankers, lawyers, auditors and insurance related activities can be expected and the Finance Director should take a leadership role in defining the strategic direction of the business, operating as the main business partner to the Managing Director.

Our client is looking to hire an experienced and qualified Finance Director, with significant exposure to FMCG and/or Food. The ability to deliver change, challenge and be challenged will be key to success in this role.
