Sellick Partnership are currently assisting in the recruitment of a Banking and Payments Administrator for a large organisation based in Cleveland.
The purpose of the role is to provide a high standard of accurate and timely banking and financial information to supported entities of the businesses internal and external relationships and systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain bank and treasury accounts for the business to ensure accurate reconciliation, enabling the business accountants and treasury department to have better visibility of physical cash flow
- Monitor and maintain exception report for invalid payment documents, ensure timely corrections which will enable payments to be processed to supplier
- Initiate and review payment process in line with issued timetable and interface with banking software ensuring all payments are approved in accordance with bank mandate and submitted within banking deadlines
- Monitor and maintain statistical data on payments for KPI purposes and review at a business level
- Manage a range of GL accounts which need to be reviewed regularly to ensure balances are accurate and auditable, key GL accounts include GRNI, Creditors and Bank Charges
- Provide cover to other team members where necessary to ensure continuous and efficient running of the department
- Provide support for occasional "ad-hoc" requests, to ensure the business needs are completed within given timescale
Essential experience:
- Good knowledge of SAP and JDE
- Advanced Excel
- Pay runs, Bank reconciliantions and Cash allocation
- Willingness to study towards accountancy qualification (AAT)
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Good financial understanding
- Good IT literacy skills (Excel)
- Good time management skills
- Knowledge of banking software
