Key accountabilities will include partnering with senior operational executives and CFOs, influencing the business agenda at all levels, acting as the key interface between the wider finance function and the business, leading budgeting and planning activity, reviewing reports from the shared services centre (SSC), working with the SSC to develop profitability action plans, constructively challenge the annual and long term plans, monitoring the overall financial performance of the business, implementing new robust KPIs, supporting the SSC with the month end close, ensuring the business adheres to revenue recognition policies and procedures, coaching and mentoring Senior Financial Analysts.
The successful candidate will be an aspiring qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with previous commercial experience from a blue chip or matrixed environment. Applicants must have the ability to both understand the needs of the business and communicate the wider financial impact of business decision making to senior stakeholders. Strong analytical and problem solving skills are essential and previous financial services / insurance experience would be welcome albeit not essential.
