A large, well known leisure organisation who have recently expanded and looking for an experienced, qualified Accountant to join their Accounting team.
About the job
As Financial Accountant you would be expected to carry out the following duties & responsibilities:
- Capital and Fixed Asset Accounting including;
- Ensuring appropriate systems and processes are in place
- Perform monthly accounting cycle for capital projects
- Monitor and report in year capital expenditure
- Provide monthly/quarterly financial accounts reports
- Oversee the maintenance of the Fixed Asset register
- Budgeting & forecasting
- Supporting the Head of Treasury & Accounting in the day to day running of the Treasury & Accounting team
- Statutory accounts and statutory reporting
- Developing and implementing SAP
- Responsibility for all areas of the P&L and balance sheet, producing monthly management accounts with variance analysis & commentary
- Treasury activities such as strategic planning, development and process work
- Ensure reconciliations completed each month
- Working with internal and external auditors
About the person
- A qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA or international equivalent)
- Ideally, leisure, hospitality, retail or wholesale experience ideal
- Experience in IFRS
- Experience using SAP ideal
