Exciting Accountant role - Central Leeds
Your new company
An excellent opportunity for a qualified Accountant to join a forward thinking financial team within an important public sector organisation in Leeds. This is a full time with a starting salary of £33,781 (this is subject to a pending pay award) and excellent benefits.
Your new role
As part of the Financial Accounting Team you will have varied responsibilities. This role would suit someone who has experience of financial and management accounting. You will lead on key financial accounting work, including the production of statutory annual accounts, reconciliations, external revenues and claims. You will also participate in the production of the annual revenue and capital budgets, and associated in year monitoring, forecasting and reporting. Another exciting part of the role will be to contribute to the different directory teams as a finance business partner.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a qualified CIPFA or CCAB accountant, with strong understanding and experience of financial controls. You will have excellent communication skills and be a visible and enthusiastic manager. You will also have strong IT skills, particularly in Excel. Practical knowledge of financial reporting standards and the CIPFA/IFRS Code would be an advantage.
