Head of Finance

Robertson Bell are working with a flexible and fast growing charity on a pivotal role within their organisation. The Head of Finance will lead on finance's involvement in the strategic direction of the organisation and will proactively influence the overall organisational strategy. We are looking for a high calibre candidate who has operated at a senior level, has the ability to lead a strong team who is looking to take on a role with a lot of opportunity.

The Head of Finance will be responsible for developing the financial strategy for the organisation in close coordination with the Director of Corporate Services. Overseeing a strong team of qualified accountants, the Head of Finance will have three direct reports with a broader team below these. Responsible for signing off the statutory accounts, the Head of Finance will be the financial point of contact for the charities various committees and an extremely influential member of the senior management team. Leading on the implementation and revision of systems and processes, the Head of Finance will be tasked with building the capacity of the organisation and setting the tone for finance, leading on the finance functions increased engagement with the wider business. The mission of this charity is becoming increasingly high profile which brings both increasing income and the ability to reach more people. However this also requires the organisation to continuously develop and professionalize.

The successful candidate will be fully qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CIPFA) and will have experience in a senior management position. Charity experience is not essential but an understanding and willingness to get to grips with charity accounting is.
