Finance Director

Finance & Operations Director, £100-130K plus generous bonus

A busy private equity firm is seeking an experienced Finance & Operations Director (C.) to join their global investment office based in the West End. This market leading organisation, require a commercially focussed senior finance professional to provide finance, commercial and operational support across the organisation. Reporting to, and working directly with the CEO, the successful candidate will have experience of working in a similar industry e. hedge funds / asset management or private equity. The Finance Director will have ultimate responsibility for the Finance, Compliance & Risk, Legal, IT, Facilities and HR functions and the associated teams.

Responsibilities will entail:

• Overseeing the Finance function to deliver effective financial control, including cost and purchasing control, fee and sales pipeline, payroll and compensation
• Oversee Audit and Statutory Accounts preparation
• Financial risk management
• Ownership of the strategic and operational plan for the firm and appraising progress against it, adjusting where needed
• Business planning and budgeting processes across their European Operations
• Analysis to drive performance and benchmark efficiency and profitability, including dashboards and KPIs
• Monthly internal management reports and submission to Group Finance
• Overall accountability for Operations objectives
• Overseeing IT and solving legal and HR issues
• Managing reputational risk through training and upholding standards
• Managing FCA

About You:

• Qualified Accountant
• Must be FCA Approved CF1 Status
• Experience within Private Equity or Investment Funds / Real Estate Funds
• Experience managing a broad range of operational functions
• A highly credible individual with intellectual ability and a hands-on approach
• A high performer and an effective team manager with a proven track record of delivering results and demonstrating commercial leadership
• Strategic awareness of business and commercial issues
