Due to growth in the business a newly created position in this long standing and leading company has been created for a aspiring Purchase Ledger Clerk.

Working closely with the Financial Controller and Company Accountant you will be responsible for:

Purchase Ledger Clerk Duties and Responsibilities:

* Delivering an effective and efficient finance function
* Matching batching and coding of all purchase invoices
* Matching purchase orders to invoices
* To ensure the timely and correct posting of purchase invoices and credit notes
* Checking nominal code
* Supplier statement reconciliation
* Processing of monthly payment runs via BACS
* Responsible for resolving internal and external queries
* Producing financial reports for senior management
* To perform ad-hoc finance functions to help with the business

Skills:

* Ability to pick up and learn new systems
* Can do attitude to be a team player and help others out
* Previous experience in a Purchase Ledger role
* The ability to process and manage high volumes of invoices
