This is a step change from the norm within SSC, as we are looking for a Qualified (ACA or CIMA) Accountant, who will look at the processes and procedure which will increase efficiencies across the division.

Reporting structure will see you managing 4 direct reports and a team of circa 70 credit, collections, etc members

The Role

The Shared Service Center within my client has evolved over the years, and has grown as the organisation acquired and merged. This has created a challenge, as the business has not grown on a best practice foundation, and the processes have been frozen in time. This role has been created to challenge a "this is how we have always done it" mentality which exists and this is the reasoning behind my clients desire to bring in an accounting professional who will look at the role through a "Change Management" process, more than a SSC norm.

Key Area's of Change:

  • Operating cost reporting
  • Head count realisation and restructure
  • Work in Progress reporting
  • Accountancy Controls
  • Treasury and Cash Management (at Group level)
  • Cash Collections

My client is staffed well, and there is massive scope for change. There is a challenge that you will be looking at cultural change within the organisation, and will be focused on creating best practice. You will drive a work place revolution which will be wide reaching, generating a center of excellence which will be both effective and an area which is an enjoyable working environment.

The Person

This role is ideally suited to an ACA Qualified Accounting Professional who has experience of driving change and implementing rigorous control measures and accounting process across large transactional business.

My client is looking at a salary banding of £81,000 to £90,000 plus bonus
