Project Accountant - Cwmbran - Up to £35,000 + excellent benefits including study support + bonus scheme

An exciting opportunity has arisen within a well-known company based in the Cwmbran area. My client is looking for a motivated and engaged Project Accountant to join their efficient finance function.

Your new role
You will provide sound financial support and advice, building and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders and evaluating processes to ensure that robust, relevant and adequate financial controls are in place. You will also deliver accurate and consistent project reporting information to meet the needs of the project team and finance management within the required timescales of the business unit and the wider group.
Responsibilities will include:

• Monitoring financial performance, providing independent and robust financial challenge
• Reconciling the financial reports to the source ledgers to ensure integrity of the data provided
• Initiating continual review & improvement of processes and procedures to ensure that the financial control requirements of the business are met
• Taking responsibility for decisions which will have a significant impact on project performance

What you'll need to succeed
Prior experience within a similar Project Accounting experience is necessary. In addition, you will be a motivated ambitious individual with strong commercial acumen. You will have good communication and Excel skills and be able to adapt to various situations. SAP experience is desirable.
